About the role
A large software development company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will own complex Canadian employer-of-record payroll delivery from processing through year-end filings. You will also strengthen payroll controls and help the team improve how payroll runs.
What you'll do
- Deliver Canadian EOR payroll, including processing, corrections and off-cycle payments.
- Ensure statutory compliance and complete reconciliations and year-end filings.
- Handle escalations and resolve customer and agency issues.
- Strengthen payroll controls and documentation.
- Mentor payroll specialists and partner with Product and Engineering to improve payroll operations.
What you bring
- Senior-level experience delivering Canadian payroll, including complex cases.
- Working knowledge of Canadian statutory payroll requirements and year-end filings.
- Experience with reconciliations, corrections and off-cycle payments.
- Ability to resolve escalations with customers and government agencies.
- Interest in mentoring others and working with product and engineering teams.
