About the role
A mid-sized insurance company in Richmond is hiring for this role. You will lead the accounting function and own the financial close, reporting and internal controls. You will also help build out the finance function as the company grows.
What you'll do
- Lead the accounting function and the monthly financial close.
- Prepare financial reporting and manage tax compliance.
- Build cash-flow forecasts and run the budgeting process.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes.
- Partner with operational leadership to improve financial performance and guide business decisions.
What you bring
- Experience leading an accounting function at a senior level.
- Strong command of financial close, reporting and tax compliance.
- Skill in cash-flow forecasting, budgeting and internal controls.
- The ability to work with operational leaders and develop a growing finance team.
