About the role
A small wholesale import and export company in Montreal is hiring for this role. You will oversee the company's accounting operations and keep the monthly and annual closes on track. You will also support financial planning and management decisions while helping the company move to a new ERP system.
What you'll do
- Oversee accounting operations, including monthly and annual closes and financial statements
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and intercompany transactions
- Handle tax filings and customs entries
- Support financial planning and management decisions
- Strengthen internal controls, improve processes and contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system
What you bring
- Experience running accounting operations and period-end closes
- Working knowledge of inventory accounting, intercompany transactions and tax filings
- Familiarity with customs entries in an import and export setting
- Experience improving internal controls and processes
- Comfort contributing to an ERP implementation
