About the role
A large retail company in Halifax is hiring for this role. You will own both the people side and the operational side of the store, from building the team to keeping standards and costs on track. The role exists to keep staffing, inventory and controllable expenses running in line with sales.
What you'll do
- Lead store talent functions, including recruiting, staffing, training and scheduling
- Manage payroll and performance management for the store team
- Oversee inventory and operational standards across the store
- Monitor sales, staffing, payroll and other controllable expenses
- Act on results to keep the store operating within its targets
What you bring
- Experience leading a team across hiring, scheduling and performance management
- Working knowledge of payroll and store staffing
- Ability to oversee inventory and hold operational standards
- Comfort tracking sales and controllable expenses and acting on the numbers
