About the role
A large utilities company in Bessemer is hiring for this role. You will develop and standardize the melting, casting and pipe-processing procedures that drive product quality, efficiency, throughput and safety. You will also support manufacturing plants through process improvement work.
What you'll do
- Develop and standardize melting, casting and pipe-processing procedures and standard work
- Define raw material specifications
- Support Lean events, time studies and audits
- Train plant teams and troubleshoot process issues
- Work with operations, quality, procurement and customers
What you bring
- Process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with melting, casting or pipe-processing operations
- Working knowledge of Lean methods and time studies
- Ability to train others and collaborate across operations, quality and procurement
