About the role
A large business consulting and services company in the United States is hiring for this role. You will bring complex life and annuity reinsurance transactions into accounting operations, from first treaty review through ledger implementation and ongoing financial reporting. The role exists to make sure each transaction is accounted for correctly and supported by sound processes and controls.
What you'll do
- Review reinsurance treaties and complete the technical analysis for life and annuity transactions
- Implement transactions in the ledger and support ongoing financial reporting
- Assess U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting impacts, including disclosures
- Analyze cash flows and intercompany effects of each transaction
- Develop transaction-related processes and controls
What you bring
- Accounting experience with life and annuity reinsurance transactions
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting
- Ability to read treaties and turn their terms into accounting treatment
- Experience building or improving accounting processes and controls
