A mid-sized IT services and IT consulting company in Allentown is hiring for this role. You will deliver process control projects from device selection through commissioning, working closely with engineering and production teams. The role keeps control systems safe, secure and compliant as they are built and upgraded.
What you'll do
- Execute process control projects involving instrumentation and control device selection
- Design PLC and DCS systems and plan system upgrades
- Carry out installation checkout and commissioning
- Troubleshoot system issues, including on site visits
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to keep work on track
- Ensure projects meet safety, cybersecurity and quality standards
What you bring
- Experience with instrumentation and control device selection
- Hands-on PLC and DCS design experience
- Background in system upgrades, installation checkout and commissioning
- Ability to troubleshoot control system problems
- Working knowledge of safety, cybersecurity and quality standards
- Willingness to travel to sites
