About the role
A mid-sized paper and forest product manufacturing company in Chattanooga is hiring for this role. You will own the day-to-day running of the distribution center, from receiving through shipping. The goal is accurate, timely movement of inventory while keeping staffing, productivity and budget on track.
What you'll do
- Manage receiving, picking, packing, shipping and transportation
- Oversee inventory flow, staffing, productivity and budget performance
- Lead and develop your team of employees
- Maintain safety and regulatory compliance across the site
- Improve processes and coordinate with other divisions and departments
What you bring
- Experience managing distribution center or warehouse operations
- Ability to lead, coach and develop employees
- Working knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance
- Skill at managing productivity and budget performance
