About the role
A large design services company in Grand Rapids is hiring for this role. You will keep heavy wood-processing equipment running on third shift, including saws, CNC machines and edge banders. You will also build the preventive maintenance routines and look after the facility's systems and records.
What you'll do
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair Homag saws, CNC machines and edge banders
- Coordinate maintenance needs that may affect production quality or schedules
- Develop preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and facility systems
- Maintain equipment and facility records
- Requisition the parts and supplies the team needs
What you bring
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy wood-processing equipment
- The ability to troubleshoot CNC machines and edge banders
- Working knowledge of building and fire code compliance
- Careful record-keeping for maintenance work and equipment history
- Availability to work third shift
