About the role
A mid-sized airlines and aviation company in Vancouver is hiring for this role. You will own day-to-day accounting operations, the month-end close and financial reporting, and lead a team of 6-7. The role also supports an company integration and upcoming system implementations, working closely with senior leadership.
What you'll do
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Run the month-end close and produce financial reporting
- Manage the annual external audit
- Manage and develop a team of 6-7
- Support the integration and upcoming system implementations
- Strengthen controls, processes and financial performance in partnership with senior leadership
What you bring
- Experience leading accounting operations and the month-end close
- Experience managing an accounting team
- Familiarity with financial reporting and external audits
- A track record of improving controls and processes
- Ability to work as a partner to senior leadership
