About the role
A large construction company in Vancouver is hiring for this role. You will own the financial side of active construction projects, keeping costs, billings and receivables accurate from start through close. This is an 18-month contract.
What you'll do
- Monitor project costs and budgets and flag variances
- Process subcontractor invoices and change orders
- Prepare progress billings and maintain cash receipts and accounts receivable
- Support project close, reconciliations, forecasting and financial reporting
- Coordinate the release of construction holdbacks
What you bring
- Experience in project accounting, ideally on construction projects
- Working knowledge of subcontractor invoicing and change order processing
- Hands-on experience with progress billings, cash receipts and accounts receivable
- Skill in reconciliations, forecasting and financial reporting
- Familiarity with holdback release processes
