About the role
A mid-sized information services company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will lead the migration of legacy Cloudera platforms to a Databricks Lakehouse and own the design of the data pipelines and finance and risk data architectures that sit on it. The work supports regulatory, management and business reporting and analytics.
What you'll do
- Lead the migration of legacy Cloudera platforms to Databricks Lakehouse
- Design and optimize large-scale data pipelines
- Build enterprise finance and risk data architectures
- Establish governance, quality, reconciliation, lineage and security controls
- Enable reporting and analytics for regulatory, management and business use cases
What you bring
- Senior-level experience as a data warehouse or data engineer
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Cloudera platforms
- Experience designing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines
- Familiarity with finance and risk data, and with governance, lineage and reconciliation practices
