About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will set the architecture and technical strategy for large-scale storage, data and caching services, including data warehousing, big data processing and machine learning platform services. The role exists to keep these foundational services durable, available and fast as they scale.
What you'll do
- Lead the architecture and technical strategy for large-scale storage, data and caching services
- Deliver strategic systems projects across multiple teams
- Solve durability, availability and latency challenges in production systems
- Mentor engineers and help recruit new ones
- Strengthen engineering and operational excellence across teams
What you bring
- Experience leading architecture for large-scale storage, data or caching systems
- A record of tackling durability, availability and latency problems at scale
- Familiarity with database, data warehousing and machine learning platform services
- The ability to mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across teams
