About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will design and own the end-to-end data platform, from source ingestion through to a reporting model. You will also lead the move from legacy pipelines to the new platform.
What you'll do
- Design the end-to-end data platform, including source ingestion and Bronze/Silver/Gold transformations
- Build and own Databricks and Delta Lake pipelines
- Develop a Kimball-style reporting model
- Establish standards for data quality, orchestration, performance and recovery
- Lead parallel-run validation and cutover from legacy pipelines
- Document architectural decisions for technical and business stakeholders
What you bring
- Experience architecting data platforms end to end
- Hands-on Databricks and Delta Lake experience
- Working knowledge of Bronze/Silver/Gold (medallion) transformations
- Dimensional modelling skills, including the Kimball approach
- Clear communication with both technical and business audiences
