About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will design and own the end-to-end data platform, from source ingestion through to a Kimball-style reporting model. You will also lead the move off legacy pipelines.
What you'll do
- Design and own the data platform, including source ingestion and orchestration.
- Build and optimize production pipelines using Bronze, Silver and Gold transformations.
- Put data integrity controls in place across the platform.
- Develop a Kimball-style reporting model.
- Document architectural decisions.
- Coordinate parallel-run validation, cutover and decommissioning of legacy pipelines.
What you bring
- Senior-level experience designing and owning end-to-end data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Bronze/Silver/Gold (medallion) transformations.
- Experience building and optimizing production data pipelines and orchestration.
- Working knowledge of Kimball-style dimensional modelling.
- A habit of documenting architectural decisions clearly.
