About the role
A large retail apparel and fashion company in New York is hiring for this role. You will own the path from fabric development through pre-production approvals to bulk production across multiple business units. The role exists to keep mills and factories aligned on timelines, quality and on-time delivery.
What you'll do
- Lead fabric development and garment engineering for multiple business units.
- Manage costing and pre-production approvals before bulk production starts.
- Coordinate mills and factories to hold timelines and on-time delivery.
- Oversee color, fit and wash processes, and resolve technical issues as they come up.
- Track bulk production quality from start to delivery.
What you bring
- Experience in apparel production or pre-production management.
- Working knowledge of fabric development, garment engineering and costing.
- Hands-on experience managing mills and factories on quality, color, fit and wash.
- Ability to run several business units and deadlines at once.
