About the role
A large freight and package transportation company in Mississauga is hiring for this role. You will lead and guide Cargo Handlers through station sort operations, keeping package handling safe and routing accurate. You will also own the recovery of potential service failures and make sure the team follows company policy and government regulations.
What you'll do
- Lead and guide Cargo Handlers in safe package handling and routing during station sort operations
- Recover potential service failures before they reach the customer
- Oversee daily work activities on the sort
- Support employee development through coaching and guidance
- Maintain administrative compliance with company policies, procedures and government regulations
What you bring
- Experience leading or guiding a team in a sort, warehouse or transportation operation
- A strong focus on safety in package and cargo handling
- Working knowledge of routing and service recovery
- Ability to keep accurate records and follow policies, procedures and regulations
