A large IT services and IT consulting company in Canada is hiring for this role. You will design and lead secure, scalable AWS data platforms and guide engineering teams through architecture decisions and delivery. The role also sets enterprise Git and GitHub practices for the team.
What you'll do
- Design secure, scalable data platforms on AWS using services such as EKS, EMR/Spark, S3, IAM, VPC and Lambda.
- Develop Python data pipelines and containerized workloads.
- Guide engineering teams through architecture decisions and delivery.
- Establish enterprise Git and GitHub practices.
- Make sure solutions meet performance, security, reliability and cost-efficiency goals.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services, including EKS, EMR/Spark, S3, IAM, VPC and Lambda.
- Strong Python skills for building data pipelines.
- Experience with containerized workloads.
- A record of leading engineering teams on architecture and delivery.
- Working knowledge of Git and GitHub at enterprise scale.
