About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in North York is hiring for this role. You will design and own the end-to-end data platform, from source ingestion through to a Kimball-style reporting model. You will also guide the move off legacy pipelines to the new platform.
What you'll do
- Design and own the end-to-end data platform, including source ingestion
- Build Bronze, Silver and Gold transformations and data integrity controls
- Build and optimize Databricks pipelines
- Design a Kimball-style reporting model
- Document architectural decisions
- Coordinate parallel-run validation, cutover and decommissioning of legacy pipelines
What you bring
- Senior-level experience designing and owning data platforms
- Hands-on Databricks pipeline experience
- Working knowledge of Bronze/Silver/Gold layered transformations
- Experience with Kimball-style dimensional modelling
- Clear written documentation of architectural decisions
