About the role
A mid-sized defense and space manufacturing company in Cincinnati is hiring for this role. You will lead the design, installation, qualification and production ramp-up of an in-house pre-penetrant etch process that supports Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. You will take the process from first install through to steady-state production.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, installation and qualification of the pre-penetrant etch process.
- Coordinate facilities, EHS, quality, operations and vendors through the ramp-up.
- Establish safe, controlled chemical processing with process monitoring in place.
- Build the documentation, training and traceability the process needs.
- Troubleshoot issues and transition the process to steady-state production.
What you bring
- Senior-level process engineering experience.
- Experience installing and qualifying production processes.
- Working knowledge of chemical processing and the EHS controls that go with it.
- Ability to work across quality, operations, facilities and outside vendors.
