About the role
A mid-sized banking company in Canada is hiring for this role. You will own day-to-day accounting operations across the US parent, the Canadian entity and a subsidiary, and you will lead the annual financial statement audit.
What you'll do
- Run billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable across the three entities.
- Manage sales tax compliance.
- Complete the monthly close and prepare financial reporting.
- Lead the annual financial statement audit.
- Document recurring accounting processes and improve controls.
What you bring
- Experience running accounting operations across more than one entity, including a US parent and a Canadian entity.
- Working knowledge of sales tax compliance.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience leading or supporting a financial statement audit.
- A habit of documenting processes and tightening controls.
