About the role
A large chemical manufacturing company in Oakville is hiring for this role. You will keep item codes and material master data accurate so that product costing is right, and you will support the analysis of costs and production variances. You will also work with operations and sales on their costing needs.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain item codes and material master data in SAP and the Material Data Governance portal
- Make timely updates so costing stays accurate
- Analyze costs and production variances
- Support month-end and annual inventory activities
- Prepare reports and assist operations and sales teams with costing requests
What you bring
- Working knowledge of SAP, or the ability to learn it quickly
- An accounting or finance background suited to a junior cost role
- Strong attention to detail with master data and cost figures
- Clear communication with operations and sales colleagues
