About the role
A mid-sized building materials company in Langley is hiring for this role. You will analyze, audit and improve manufacturing processes using lean principles, with a focus on safety, quality, productivity and cost efficiency. You will work closely with other departments to put those improvements into practice.
What you'll do
- Analyze and audit manufacturing processes to find ways to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost
- Apply lean principles to the improvements you recommend
- Create drawings of equipment and components
- Specify and implement improvements to tools and equipment
- Document procedures and support equipment installation in collaboration with other departments
What you bring
- Experience as a manufacturing engineer or in a similar process improvement role
- Working knowledge of lean principles
- Ability to produce equipment and component drawings
- Skill in documenting procedures clearly
- Comfort working across departments
