About the role
A large building materials company in Rock Island is hiring for this role. You will inspect, troubleshoot and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment on the production floor. The role exists to keep that equipment reliable and the work area safe.
What you'll do
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical production equipment
- Install and maintain motors, conveyors, drives and control systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance and equipment alignment
- Perform welding and fabrication work
- Make repairs at heights and in confined spaces, and keep your work area clean and safe
What you bring
- Hands-on experience maintaining mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Working knowledge of motors, conveyors, drives and control systems
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- A commitment to a clean, safe work area
