About the role
A mid-sized IT services and IT consulting company in Canada is hiring for this role. You will own the design and delivery of AWS data platforms and guide the technical direction of data work across engineering, architecture and business teams.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver scalable, secure, cost-effective AWS data platforms and architectures.
- Build data models and ETL/ELT pipelines, including data lakes and warehouses.
- Lead migration and modernization work.
- Optimize security, quality, performance and cost across the platform.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with engineering, architecture and business teams.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience designing data platforms and architectures on AWS.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, data lakes and warehouses.
- A track record of leading migration or modernization work.
- The ability to guide technical teams and work with business stakeholders.
