About the role
A large software development company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will develop, evaluate and deploy models for financial crime use cases, and you will work with client and internal teams so those models fit into their workflows. You will also help junior data scientists grow.
What you'll do
- Develop, evaluate and deploy models for financial crime use cases.
- Prepare data and address model performance challenges.
- Apply NLP and LLM-based methods where they add value.
- Partner with client and internal teams to integrate models into workflows.
- Communicate results and limitations, support production monitoring and mentor junior data scientists.
What you bring
- Experience building, evaluating and deploying machine learning models.
- Skill in data preparation and in working through model performance issues.
- Working knowledge of NLP and LLM-based methods.
- Clear communication of results and limitations to client and internal teams.
- Willingness to mentor junior data scientists.
