About the role
A mid-sized construction company in Calgary is hiring for this role. You will oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for your assigned entities. You will also lead a small finance team and improve how the department runs its processes and systems.
What you'll do
- Oversee accounting operations, month-end close and financial reporting
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
- Review vendor payments and payroll, and keep tax compliance on track
- Lead and develop two direct reports
- Improve finance processes, controls, documentation and automation, including integrations between Sage Intacct and operational systems
What you bring
- Experience running accounting operations and month-end close
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and tax compliance
- Experience with Sage Intacct and integrating finance and operational systems
- Leadership skills to coach and develop a small team
