About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Montreal is hiring for this role. You will own the month-end close and financial reporting within controllership, and you will explain the operational drivers behind the numbers. You will also help the finance team simplify and automate how it works.
What you'll do
- Analyze financial performance and the operational drivers behind it
- Oversee month-end close, reporting, reconciliations and journal entries
- Maintain internal controls and manage reporting risks
- Apply IFRS to complex accounting matters
- Work with stakeholders and auditors
- Improve finance processes through simplification, standardization and automation
What you bring
- A Certified Public Accountant designation
- Working knowledge of IFRS, including complex accounting matters
- Experience running month-end close, reconciliations and journal entries
- Experience with internal controls and reporting risk
- Comfort working with stakeholders and auditors
