About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Montreal is hiring for this role. You will own the month-end close and financial reporting, and act as the go-to person for IFRS guidance on complex transactions. The role also drives better processes, automation and governance across the finance function.
What you'll do
- Oversee the month-end close, reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare and review financial reporting.
- Provide IFRS guidance on complex transactions.
- Analyze performance and risks, and report what you find.
- Maintain internal controls and work with internal teams and external auditors.
- Improve processes through automation, standardization and stronger governance.
What you bring
- A Certified Public Accountant designation.
- Working knowledge of IFRS, including complex transactions.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations and journal entries.
- Experience with internal controls and working alongside external auditors.
- A track record of improving finance processes.
