About the role
A mid-sized internet publishing company in the United States is hiring for this role. As Assistant Controller, you will lead day-to-day accounting operations, the monthly close and multi-entity consolidated reporting. You will also strengthen financial controls and partner with the CFO on planning and analysis.
What you'll do
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly close
- Prepare multi-entity consolidated reporting
- Oversee core accounting functions and maintain financial controls
- Support audits and tax activities
- Develop the accounting team and partner with the CFO on planning and analysis
- Improve finance systems, processes and automation so reporting scales
What you bring
- Experience running a monthly close and multi-entity consolidations
- Working knowledge of financial controls, audits and tax support
- Experience developing and leading accounting staff
- A track record of improving finance systems, processes and automation
- Ability to work closely with a CFO on planning and analysis
