A small real estate company in Chicago is hiring for this role. You will own accounting and the monthly close for the company's real estate entities. You will also oversee assigned investments and keep banking, lender and property tax obligations on track.
What you'll do
- Own the monthly close, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Clean up historical accounting records
- Manage accounts payable and tenant accounting
- Prepare investor reporting
- Oversee assigned investments, lender and property tax obligations, and cash and banking activities
- Improve accounting processes and technology systems
What you bring
- Hands-on experience owning a monthly close
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations and account clean-up
- Background in accounts payable and tenant accounting
- Experience with investor reporting for real estate entities
- An eye for improving processes and accounting systems
