A large hospitals and health care company in Winnipeg is hiring for this role. You will manage the accounting team and oversee accounting activities, including month-end and year-end closes. The role exists to keep reporting accurate and to make sure the company follows its accounting policies and standards.
What you'll do
- Manage accounting staff and direct their development and performance
- Oversee accounting activities, month-end and year-end closes
- Review financial reports, reconciliations, operating results and variances
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend improvements
- Make sure work complies with accounting policies and standards
