About the role
A mid-sized software development company in Canada is hiring for this role. You will lead the technical direction and hands-on development of the company's shared AI agent platform, which other teams build on. You will also keep the platform scaling, reliable and cost-efficient.
What you'll do
- Lead the technical direction of the shared AI agent platform.
- Build agent creation and execution, orchestration, tools and integrations.
- Develop model calls, memory and self-learning capabilities.
- Improve platform scale, performance, reliability and cost.
- Enable other teams through documentation, pairing and engineering mentorship.
What you bring
- Senior backend engineering experience, at staff level.
- Hands-on experience building AI agent systems, including orchestration and model calls.
- Track record of improving the scale, performance and reliability of production platforms.
- Willingness to mentor engineers and document your work for other teams.
