About the role
A large defense and space manufacturing company in Fort Worth is hiring for this role. You will develop and implement the manufacturing processes that turn product designs into built hardware, and apply automation and 3D modeling to improve efficiency, cost and quality. You will also bring the shop floor's view back into product design.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, production layouts and build sequences
- Create digital work instructions for the production floor
- Apply automation and 3D modeling to improve efficiency, cost and quality
- Evaluate equipment and production performance, and use factory data and analytics for continuous improvement
- Resolve manufacturing issues and provide manufacturing input to product design
What you bring
- Experience as a manufacturing engineer at a senior level
- Working knowledge of process development, production layouts and build sequencing
- Familiarity with automation and 3D modeling tools
- Comfort using factory data and analytics to drive improvement
