About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Houston is hiring for this role. You will own the design and delivery of cloud-based data pipelines and data models that support energy trading teams. The role exists to keep data reliable, well governed and integrated across systems.
What you'll do
- Design, build and optimize cloud-based data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Develop data models that support energy trading use cases.
- Ensure data quality, performance, reliability and integration across systems.
- Partner with energy trading and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into technical solutions.
- Manage product backlogs and roadmaps, and improve data architecture and governance.
What you bring
- Senior-level experience as a data engineer.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT workflows and data modelling.
- Working knowledge of data architecture and governance.
- Ability to work with trading and business stakeholders and translate their needs into technical solutions.
- Experience managing backlogs and roadmaps.
