About the role
A large motor vehicle manufacturing company in Fort Wayne is hiring for this role. As Plant Controller, you will own financial reporting, cost accounting and internal controls for the plant. You will also support operational strategy and continuous improvement by turning the numbers into direction for the plant team.
What you'll do
- Oversee plant financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close
- Prepare tax packages and manage reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls and run cost accounting
- Build forecasts and prepare the annual business plan
- Analyze business trends and coordinate with corporate accounting and external auditors
What you bring
- Experience in plant or manufacturing financial reporting and cost accounting
- Working knowledge of internal controls, reconciliations and tax package preparation
- Skill in forecasting, budgeting and business trend analysis
- Ability to work with corporate accounting teams and auditors
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to support operations
