About the role
A large financial services company in Wilmington is hiring for this role. You will lead and develop an accounting team and oversee periodic financial analyses, reporting and technical accounting guidance for business products and initiatives. The role exists to strengthen financial processes and controls and to support regulatory disclosure and audit work.

- Lead and develop the accounting team

- Provide technical accounting guidance on business products and initiatives
- Improve financial processes and controls
- Support SEC and regulatory disclosures and coordinate external audits, internal reviews and SOX compliance
What you bring
- Experience leading and developing an accounting team
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Familiarity with SEC and regulatory disclosure requirements
- Working knowledge of SOX compliance and audit coordination
- A track record of improving financial processes and controls
