About the role
A large mining company in Ely is hiring for this role. You will own the data and models that support mine-to-mill optimization, turning operational data into recommendations that site teams can act on. The role exists to improve operational outcomes and to keep the analytical tools reliable and understood by the people who use them.
What you'll do
- Prepare and analyze geological, fleet, stockpile, laboratory and plant-process data.
- Build, validate and improve machine-learning models and optimization support.
- Test and monitor recommendations with site teams and measure their impact.
- Investigate changes in model performance and act on what you find.
- Document analytical tools and explain them to users and technical support staff.
What you bring
- Experience building and validating machine-learning models.
- Skill in preparing and analyzing operational data from multiple sources, such as geological, fleet, laboratory and process data.
- Ability to work with site teams and measure the impact of your recommendations.
- Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
